Greg,
Don't worry about it--I did find some shots of the 315 in 1938 I think was there year and posted them somewhere below. It is interesting that it does show that the 315 had quite a bit of silver trim on her--like the journal lids, pilot steps, tender steps, tires (white) and the running boards. So if this is the time period they are shooting for then this should be something to go off of--even with the extra silver it would still be prototypical and historically correct. I am one of those guys who thinks that things should reflect the historical value/appearance. One gripe I have is why is nobody giving the D&S grief on not putting Rio Grande on their equipment. Almost all of it is historically original D&RGW equipment--it should be lettered that way if they want to consider themselves a museum. And I know why they moved away from the doghouses--but unless they are dipicting the locomotives from the 1925-1934 time frame they should have them. Oh, let me stop before I offend someone for wanting the restored equipment to look like it really looked while in service on the D&RGW. Sorry to go on such a rant.
