Steven: I asked Marlin the 'red roof' question while loading #9 out at Strasburg. He replied,..
.."All C&&S/CB&Q engines had red roofs". Looking at the magnificent job he and his crew did, I just thought saying anything else, would be considered ingratitude....and I opted for the polite route, and said nothing. It was to bright and magnificent a day, to rain on anyone's parade.
