Bo, the bear trap is on the way! Thanks for the good words....however, to be more accurate and place the credit where it is do...we must all heap thanks and prasie to Steven Butler of Midwest Locomotive & Machine and our shop crew for thier tireless work in fine tuning the No.9 during this breakin period. We at Railstar feel very lucky to have Mr. Butler here to help us out.
We are not sure as to why Marlin painted the roof red, it may have been that way for the Chicago Railroad Fair...in either event, since it is the intent of CHS to have the locomotive look the way it did when last in service, once I have the OK from CHS head quarters, we will paint the roof black. We are even adding the cab curtains and cab awnings!
