I agree that at that price including delivery it can sure be called drill pipe, casing or whatever name is needed.
I have never seen any casing with the ribs around it. I assume those ribs are the seam where the pipe was welded after it was rolled. In my neck of the woods all casing and surface pipe are threaded and screwed together. The male threads are called "pins" and the female threads or collars are called "boxes". Like any industry there is plenty of jargon to go around.
I'm not taking anyone to task about the purpose of the pipe. If more pipe is needed or desired
now or in the next few years might be a good time to pursue it as the oilfield is busy which
means companies are making money. It has been my experience that people are often generous
when they have money.
