Thanks for the response. I was aware of the issue with tender patches. They seem to be more prevalent on the C-series engines, the K-27's and K-37's. It would appear that the K-28's and K-36's were not patched to the extent of these other engines.
I have been informed that a couple of the original K-28 tender tanks are sitting in the Durango yard. Being in the Durango area, can you advise someone to contact at the D&SNG who might be able to take some pictures of the tender deck on one of them or can arrange for me to get in and take some photos and measurements? Any help will be most appreciated. Thanks!
