I don't agree, William.
This is new history. A new chapter. The Silver Vista is back, why not a Gold Vista in the future, hopefully the near future?
Remember the Silver Vista is really a dome car for a narrow gauge train. Domes were first introduced by the D&RGW for the California Zepher in 1948, the same year as the original, right? In those days there was only one Silverton train. Now there are up to four daily trains.
Silver and Gold are Colorado colors. Besides, who is to say that if the Silver Vista 1 hadn't burned the D&RGW would have not built a companion Gold Vista in 1964? It probably would have been another "Silver" name, though.
I like the idea, and I hope they do it. I'll bet I feel even stronger about this after I've ridden in the Silver Vista, an experience I never would have imagined possible.
