I guess Mr. Wimer talked to Marvin who was the engineer on 487.
According to Mr. Wimer Marvin comments. "He said he saw the truck coming and knew that it was not about to stop, so he slowed the engine to let it pass. When the truck went across, it was a good three engine-lengths away."
