There was (and still is) a large pond across the river from the railroad that was used for ice harvesting, but it was not on railroad land. It is possible that any ice needed by the railroad, or the other lines (non-D&RG) would have purchased ice when needed from the local ice dealer. The building across the alley from me still has a huge walk-in cooler with the ice section above it that is intact. There may have been a small ice house along the tracks, but nothing that appears on the valuation maps that I know of.
