Oil firing is a peace of cake. Especially when you've got a boiler that makes more steam than the locomotive can use. You're trying not to lift the safety's.
I'm not used to all the extra appliances on these locomotives. The 110 has a tank heater and tank blow back if you've got some nasty oil that settled at the bottom you can mix that up while refilling the tank. Thats kind of exciting to see for the first time if you're in the cab while it's turned on. The back wall of the cab is shaking...
This railroad is almost exactly the same as the Omaha Zoo Railroad that I learned on. Just bigger.
