Westbound trains into Chama from Alamosa frequently came in on the siding as it(as Agent Templeton stated) ran the whole length of the yard. Also the oil loading rack came off this track, so setting out tanks was an easy task. Thre rail beyond the crossing was slowly taken up as needed because it was our only source of increasingly-rare 70lb rail that is used east of Osier.
