I was there too. Rich Braden ran the 487, and as I recall, John Oldberg had 483.
One of the things I remember most about that trip was the pathetic efforts made to record sound by dragging cheap little tape recorders around. There wasn't much snow, but it was plenty cold enough to wipe out the cheap batteries that often failed our recorders and Super 8 movie cameras.
I took some nice shots over the two day event using color film in my Dad's old Kodak 800 camera. 8 shots per roll. 35mm was still a few years away for me then.
I guess some us go back pretty far together. Farther than most of us would think.
