More on 26" wheels

December 09, 2000 11:43PM
The catalog of parts is planned for an early summer release. The first wheels should be finished and ready for installation in April.
Our current cost estimate is $1000 per wheel, including casting and machining and pressing, but not including the axle itself (we have a local machine shop producing the axles as a donation.) We have a local comercial shop which can machine and press wheels. Several local railroad museum shops also have the capability to press wheels.
