Thanks for the kind comments, John. It was a pleasure to visit with you at the Narrow Gauge Convention, and I'm glad you got a chance to see 464.
As for 464, it has a Revised Master Machanic's front end. We replaced the bottom of the smokebox and the doubler plate, and had to fabricate a new exhaust stand. The old one had rusted through from the outside, probably from sitting in Durango all those years without the stack capped. The new stand is formed up from 3/8" steel plate and some pipe. I did camp out in the smokebox for the better part of a day lining things up.
