462 was the only mudhen that did not get superheated. Therefore it was often passed down to the RGS to use.
A great book with tons of info on the mudhens and awesome pictures that portray the modifications throughout their lives is the "Mudhen Pictorial." It's available on the online at the Colorado Railroad Museum
