Steve you are sure right about thinking about the younger generation. One of the biggest problems that almost all railroad groups have is that most of the members are grayhairs. Nothing wrong with that except WHO is going to replace them?
One of the fringe benefits of our latest Day out with Thomas we had last month at OERM was that we really went after our visitors to join our museum. We offered a discount family membership to our Thomas visitors. As a result, we picked up almost 300 new members! This group of young people are exactly the new blood that most groups are looking for. Thomas provided them the incentive to come out and visit and check us out. Let's hope we can make them feel welcome to join us in our work. Regards, John
