The day (school) trips are on Dec 1, 2, 8 & 9. Times are 1020, 1110, 1200, 1250. Regular trips start @ 1700.
The shots you posted were taken just east of the present east loop. The edge of the stop sign in one photo is on the drive into the Cummings Center, where the County Fair is held in August. The nice part of the line was further along and away from the power line. There was a trestle and a pretty stiff grade that made for some good action shots.
As I understand it, the run was shortened up for a couple of reasons. 1.) It made it easier to maintain the hourly schedule during the Christmas season. 2.) The abandoned section did not have a proper sub roadbed. It's all sand back there and the ballast just disappears into the sand. The present line is on the old PM Fostoria line roadbed and is solid. It took a lot more work to maintain the old east end.
