The El Dorado Western now has its first grant writing experience. Part of the problem was that we were up against $200 million in requests to the California Cultural and Historical Endowment when there's only $43 million of available funds. I too wander what factors went into our rejection, especially in view of the fact that several California historical railroads benefited last year.
I'm attending an informational meeting next week that's supposed to answer questions on how to write better grants to CCHE. I'll report back, either here or on the blog in couple weeks.
In the meantime, we keep pluggin' along and continue to write.
