As I rememer it all the sidings between the Perlite plant in Antonito and Alamosa were three rail but I think that was to facilitate Narrow Gauge trains in switching Standard Gauge cars along that stretch. Most of the sidings I think were agricultural and unless they were for destinations on the narrow gauge would have been shipped in standard gauge cars.
