I think he meant the Pacific Coast out of San Luis Obispo.
I remember seeing the narrow gauge rails on the pier in 1977. I was stationed at Ft. Ord and had to go to Camp Roberts for training. I was able to see the old pier. I understand that the rails have since been removed. Is the bridge on the shore line still there?
