Algoma Steel's narrow gauge operation is in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada. Other than that, I can't tell you what their original numbers were, or when they passed from their original service to the EBT.
Their D&S names are:
1 - "Hotshot 1"
2 - "P.B."
4 - "Gus?" (That's what's chalked on the side)
5 - "Betsy?" (Again, chalk on the side)
7 - "Big Al"
