Again with thanks to Dave Dye for his computer expertise, the attached link will show the ground from Chama to 3 miles south. The Chama Lumber Spur of the D&RG, which was later the Tierra Amarilla Souther RR (for Post Office records), is noted by red dots and at about 2.5 miles south, it can be seen in the photo. A fork is the new relocation around the mill site to the east, with the old line forking west to the mill. The mill site is now housing land for sale. It loads slowy, so wait till it gets to the good spots.
It is a view of how the railroad line is now covered by the rooms of the Elkhorn Lodge. This line was torn up in 1902 and relocated to Lumberton to El Vado and then called the Rio Grande & Southwester RR still owned by McPhee & McGinnity Lbr. Co. and run by E. M. Biggs.
