Hi John, if you remember Jay's gripe about this building last fall when it was built, he tried to pass it off as the "ultimate shop". And that the MEAN OLD FRIENDS were keeping the R/R shop crew in their dark, cold old building. I had responded at that time about the building being only a "SHELL" for now with the Friends doing all of the improvements as we can afford them. Watch this May on the Friends web site as you will see a concrete floor,(on the North side for now until the trackwork is finished inside the building), The local utility company in Antonito is providing electrical service, and lights going in the next three weeks. While the rest of the work will be finished later, the building will be a long way toward finished. Then, what do you suppose he will gripe about? Sure would be NICE if Jay would do any WORK. (He MIGHT understand the need for this building). We have many Friends members that are 10 to 15 years older than Jay.
You can bet he will be there with his camera to take pictures, but will probably put a negative SPIN on all of our hard work.
