Hi, In 2000 during the gold spike ceremony, two of us ran our narrow gauge motorcars along with the trolley in Whitehorse, back and forth all one day between the old barn and the tree growing between the track. A larger group, about 6 motorcars ran our narrow gauge motorcars from Utah yard down to Whitehorse after we cleared the tracks of brush, etc. Then we ran to Carcross, after pushing our cars over the Hwy (out of Whitehorse) that had been paved over, every time we went across the Hwy the Mounties would come and stop the Hwy traffic and flag us across. The track seemed to be in pretty good shape. We made the trip to Carcross from Whitehorse 2 or 3 times and had a great time. We also ran all the way to Skagway and back to Carcross once.
Best regards,
