I agree 100%, #20 is so cool, and the history is amazing. It always amazes me which locomotives (or the people who were involved for that matter) made it through the test of time enduring the conditions they did.
Seeing the pictures of #20 close to retirement, it appears to have been in decent shape? Does anyone know the condition of the boiler, etc?
Does anyone know what the final bill ($ wise) on 346 will be (aside from the donated labor) from teardown to steam up? I am an avid car restorer, and was always interested as to what a "frame-off" restoration on a steam engine would even book out at?
