I have been in the Springs for 3 years.
I had walked part of the closed portion of the Gold Camp Road a few weeks ago.
I am sure the ex-GTL equipment will be put to good use. It is nice to see steam at the CRRM for now.
The reality is that we need to support the existing NG railroads and make sure they are strong before laying more rails. So many of the now abandoned lines already have stuff built over the old right of way, making revival unrealistic.
I wish the upper portion of the Monarch line could have been saved, and I hope the Creede Branch can be saved. Lets just make sure that we support and patronize what we have operating now....
