The railroad is gone, it's not coming back...at least as it was known. I was simply posting the link to show the change; it pertained nothing to the former operation whatsoever and was not intended to start any arguments.
Believe me, I find the CHS to be as big of buffoons as most other people on this board and their dirty game detestable...and while the GLR Inc's saga in Silver Plume is over (they did the right thing by leaving for the sake of their company), there's still a dirty political mess in Georgetown that as happened and is still continuing. Paying attention to the politics of this snafu may help in preventing a similar situation elsewhere in the future.
Often forgotten, a railroad is one heck of a lot more than a track and rolling stock; it's the PEOPLE that make it possible. Even though it applies here...putting the GLR Inc. aside for a moment, there's a town that thrives on tourism from this BUSINESS (this railroad is a business as any other).
If you don't like it, skip the post and read on; either that or don't respond. If anything is inappropriate enough, the moderators that pay for this board will let us know.
Again, NO arguments intended. All we can do now is watch...unless we get a paycheck from the Colorado Historical Society or Railstar Corp.
