The 4/9/1958 trip was for the 20th Anniversary Banquet of the Rocky Mountain Railroad Club held at the Holland House in Golden. The 4-car train, pulled by engine 646 departed Denver Union Station at 6:00 p.m. and returned just after midnight. There was no wye in Golden so the train backed all the way back to Denver.
The 11/14/1962 train was, again, a RMRRC trip behind engine 638, an excursion to tour the Coors Brewery. This was the last Denver area run of this locomotive. The special departed Denver at 6:00 p.m., arrived in Golden at 7:15. The evening's events included a tour of the brewery, a movie entitled "Colorado, The Favored Land, refreshments, dancing and a short business meeting. The train returned to Denver around midnight.
