My guess is that the train was one of the trips to Longmont. I recall more than a couple of occasions where the train was pulled out near the GW Sugar Refinery there. The engine was always moved to the rear, and from there it either pulled the train back onto the wye, or it was switched onto the GW, where #51 or #90 was steamed up and waiting to take the train out onto the GW for a ways.
Mickey Hansen was usually Engineer on these trips, and is easily identified by his trademark white cap.
I have all my Dad's pictures here of those trips. If there was anything distinctive, I'm sure I can nail the date for you. We either rode or chased every trip.
By the way, the last run to Trinidad was the first time Steam had run South of Denver on the C&S since the early fifties.
