Jim Saylor also reported that the Board of the Laws Museum wanted to cut it down by a foot and reduce the diameter by a foot and reuse the old wood. I told him I hoped they would rebuild it to the original dimensions using new wood and save some staves for the museum and cut some into 6" pieces to use for a fund raiser to rebuild the tank.
We may need support for keeping the tank historically correct in size so stay tuned.
