Re: How many cars can Hawaii #12 pull up the Loop?

Jason:
Yes, we both are using available data to answer the question of what the #12 could pull up the Loop, you posed the original question and presented your data, I arrived at a different conclusion using mine. The answer as you suggest will obviously come before the 28th of May when the season gets under way. I don’t think I ever said or implied that either Mr. Trottier or Gores were naïve or stupid. The CHS brain trust is another matter.
I apologize if my sarcasm and negativity toward the CHS tainted my argument that 4 cars vs. 6 cars capacity is significant. And to our assumption that the average passenger weighs 200 Lbs., I think we both know the old conductors rule about ASS-U-ME. I only bring this up as I have heard through the normally reliable CHS grapevine that the first train on May 28th has been completely reserved by the Japanese Sumo Wrestling Federation who will be in Denver over the Memorial Holiday weekend. : ) Maybe 4 cars will be optimistic…. LOL
Have a good one of what is left of the weekend.
