Roger Netz on the list can tell all about the #463. I had heard it was in Scottsdale and wondered about the P&P.
As for the P&P #12, the 2-6-2; beforehand, this was the locomotive that ran down at Buckskin Joe's in the 50s/60s in Canon City...came from Texas originally where it was built as the 4-6-2; rebuilt for Lee Merrick by Bill Daney but he ended up selling to Guy Stillman afterwards (Merrick has the massive 16" gauge empire in Wisconsin, and the light railway manufacturing business). There was yet ANOTHER 15" gauge locomotive running at Royal Gorge (a 4-6-4) which was recognized by its abnormally-large curved pilot; sat as a display for some time out on the road near the bridge until sometime in the 70s. Anybody know where it is now?
There was also mention of a place called East Tincup with a 15" gauge steam operation...no idea what this was, but curious to find out.
Thanks,
Ed Kelley
