Hey Dan, Well 23 years ago when my wife to be moved to eastern Ore. from the west side of the state, she said from listening to folks "round here", she thought she had "done gone" to the Ozarks, Appalachia, or at least somewhere there was a strong southern tradition. "Fur" as I know, "we don't go no" tradition like that.
Further she said at that time, she observed that Wallowa County at least seemed to still be living in the great depression. Wow! Was she impressed by my home town or what?
