I was not aware that the new Mercy Medical complex being built in the Grandview area of Durango is on a 160 acre parcel owned by the Ignacio Utes. This is right on the narrow gauge right-of-way, so maybe there's space for a casino as well and it would be a very short train ride. And I really like the idea of relocating Wal-Mart to put the railroad back in. They'd just have to figure out what to do with the animal shelter and the cluster of shops next to Wal-Mart.
