If you look at most of the Native Texans you will find them to be a friendly lot. Most of the people here are transplants (myself included). There are large job markets here and unfortunately it tends to draw in a lot of what the old south would refer to as D&*# Yankees. Yes, there are some egos that grow a little too large for there own good. That can be said of any state. We are just larger and have more room for them to congregate.
Most natives and many of us immigrants are very proud to be from Texas. It’s not something that I have seen in the other places that I have lived. It might confuse some and just annoy the rest…..sorry. Please be careful with the off handed Texan crack. Like it or not we spend a lot of money on the narrow gauge roads during the year. After reading comments from a Colorado politician who when asked about the C&TS funding said that the states taxes shouldn’t, “Go to fund a private organization, unless it is for something important like building a football stadium”. When I read that I knew that nobody could say the Texas has cornered the market on stupidity.
So again, please be careful with the comments…..as they say, “Em’s fightin’ words”
