Fritz,
good job in discribing the printing process, I am the son of a lifelong newspaper editor, where the composing room was still linotype and I still have a slug of my name in 4 point type, the size that the newspaper used for their biggest headlines.
How would you like to have re-printed the classic Linwood Moody book, The Maine Two-Footers. They scanned each page of the whole book and then replaced as many of the photos as possible. And added a couple of new chapters of new words by Moody.
Great way to introduce a classic to a new generation of railfans.
