Fritz
Now why would I want to see your shop when I have a Heildelberg, a Meihle, and a Chandler Price, plus an Intertype mixer.....smiling smiley tis good to know there are still some of us old hot typers still out there. However, to me truthful, my Intertype hasn't cast a slug in about 4 years. To the Silver San Juan, without knowing the copyright info, if the owner really wanted to republish it, they could very simple scan the entire page(s) onto a computer dress it up on Photoshop, and away we go.
We have tried to have Rails Sagebrush and Pine reprinted for years, and that is the same song and dance we were give, oh, the negs, and plates are gone. I have printed nearly 50 historical books, saddle stitched and perfect bound over the past 30 years, and still have the page flats for each of them, plus for that matter I have the letterpress forms for our high school annual from 1940....but then again my shop is pretty cluttered:
I will look you up next summer when I get to Silverton
