Thanks Steve. I have one of the CD's. My puter doesn't handle that large a file very well. A problem soon to be corrected I believe. I have looked at the maps of this area in the past though and other than the siding at Boulder Gorge I don't think it shows the track across the river. I've noticed that where privately owned track connected, the maps often just show a spur, with no indication that trackage continued beyond and in many cases there is no indication where tracks connected from the logging lines. I hope to get down to LaGrande in the near future and have a look again at the maps of the SVRy that are at the Univeristy. They are ROW maps showing the track as it actuallys lays on the ground with property boundaries and such. I was just talking to Bob Bergstrom last night about the desirabilty of making copies of these maps as well. Regards.
