I guess that I have driven that more than 20 times in the last 13 years. I've done it in a little as 5 hours and as much as 7 (if you don't count the massive tie up in Pueblo in 1996). It depends if you stop for food or not. Lately it has taken me 30 minutes just to get out of the Denver traffic. Then there is always a slow down in the Springs. If you take US285, you don't get out of traffic until you are past Bailey. I like to get to 285 by way of Deer Creek Canyon west of Chatfield. That avoids a lot of the loonies speeding on the multilane portion of 285. I seem to always eat lunch either in Buena Vista or Walsenburg.
