Gon placement

Not sure where it will be. Last year there was some discussion of the optimum placement of the gon. Earl might have better info. There are a number of considerations: passenger accessibility, relationship to the snack car, switching, and so on. I think all our active rider gons are steel framed, but we don't want to put steel framed cars behind wooden frames. One goal needs to be minimizing the number of times the gon doesn't make the trip due to tonnage problems, since it is a major passenger "amenity". Hopefully with better engines this year, and someone like Earl watching the store, those occasions will be few and far between.
