New Yorkers of old consider the Third Ave. El the stuff of legends .The whole town rode it . I think it has been gone since the late 50s or early 60s .Pretty nice restoration ,huh? Incidentally two o r th ree of the little steam locomotive that ran on it(before electrification) still exist .
