The Fort Wilderness Railroad engines were auctioned to Carrolwood Pacific Historical Society members as a fund raiser. I believe that three of the engines are still in Southern California as well as most of the four wheel coaches. One engine is in Northern California with one coach. All are suffering from poor storage, years of neglect and dry rot. At the very least they will have to go through a "Form 4" rebuild and inspection as well as deleting well meaning but un-needed over-engineering.
I have heard that stars on front plates are Masonic symbols.
