Early this year a "T" boiler Shay was finally located in Central South Carolina. It's unfortunatly much newer than a vertical boiler engine but of great historical interest anyway. The web site has been down for several days where the group of photos of the "as found" engine are. The two Alaskan engines mentioned in the other answer are Class A Climax engines. There are several great glass plate photos of these on the Washington State Archives Page.
