There was a really good article in one of the model rags (MRR? RMC?) a loooooong time ago about the little contractor's shays called "Baby Shays", it had a bunch of information on the later class A (2 cylinder 2 truck) lokeys. There were vintage pictures of them building roads, etc, and some nice elevation drawings. I know I have a copy of it floating around here someplace, but darned if I can find it.
I've also seen some things about guys modelling the vertical, and T-boilered versions on the web, but didn't bookmark them.
...gee come to think of it, I'm a lot of no help at all, ain I?
