In 1990 the GW 51 was based in Toppinish, WA not far east out of Yakima. When the SP 4449 and later SP&S 700 ran on the Washington Steamfest trips in the Fall of 1991, they had 51 running short trips out of Prosser on a branchline. You could ride the bigger engine from Kennewick then ride the 51. We got some nice meets with the engines at Prosser, and after the side-trip chased the 51 back to Toppenish one night getting a real nice glint shot. Spiced up the 4449 and 700 trips that year. Too bad they never did these runs again.
By the way, the 75 is at Heber City, and operational now! 90 is at Strasburg.
