Greg: Film I was referring to is the one you sent me. It is very early in the film. I didn't notice it until I showed it to some other D&S guys the other night.
They seem to agree that judging from the high water in the Animas, the film was shot in June.
According to the the Narrow Gauge News The Alamosa was converted to a coach in 1957. The same year the remaining San Juan coaches had thier reclining coach seats removed and replaced with bus seats. All this was done up at Burnham in Denver. If Mr. Chama Station Agent has his ears on, I think the Alamosa's remodeling is in the car info he has. All of this "remodeling" was done to get more passenger capacity out of the 8 remaining coaches available then.
