I have slides of the Night Passage train with both 476 and 478 in them. I also have a B&W crew shot with a diamond stack 478 in the back ground. The stack is like it had in '58 and beyond. The one 476 wore in "NP" was the same one used in 1954 - and the one it used in the 60's-80's (and now on 473).
The is a very sort clip in the film showing the "back side" of the Alamosa - it was still a parlor car. If it was converted to a coach in 1957, the the film must be pre-1957.
