Actually, no. The stack on #473 last year is one made to replace the original damaged when #476 hit a drag line cable at Rockwood in the 70's. It looks almost identical like the original, which still more or less still exists on a flatcar somewhere in the Durango yard. I saw it last year, along with a couple of other fake stacks from other engines and other movies.
Alamosa was rebuilt into a coach in 1957, according to Doris Osterwald, but it could have been late.
