Keep in mind all history is told by someone, and viewpoints always differ. If you look at the D&RGW histories of the 50's, John Norwood's works will differ from Bob Richardson's. All are good, but told from different points of view.

Some other favorites of mine: The RGS Story by Josie Moore Crum. The Giant's Ladder. The Thunder of Their Passing. Some relatively new, some classics.

Read them all. Somewhere among all the stories and viewpoints you will find your idea of "what happened."
