Re 476 at Needleton: It sure looks to me that the painting of 476 at the Needleton tank was taken from a photograph that someone, perhaps a person standing next to me, captured.
Continuing the final RMRRC run from Durango to Alamosa:
483 uncoupled from the train to take water and coal and to have the fire cleaned during a half hour layover in Chama.
With 487 as helper, the train started toward Cumbres. Here 487 has crossed the Lobato trestle, and 483 is coming across to re-couple and continue up the 4 percent grade
The train is approaching the Cresco phone booth and tank
(the NGDF is unfortunately overriding my photo sequencing choice)
