You have to do a set of calculations to determine maximum allowable working pressure (mawp) that ae based on several factors, including minimum material thicknesses. the .720 doesn't have as much to do with what you can get as the .492. The other thing is what kind of thinning is in the firebox and are the stays deteriorated?
Most unanticipated uncontrolled evaporative events are due do failures of the crownsheet in the firebox and not the shell.
